Third month milestones for your baby

Now your baby is officially an infant. It is the graduation of your baby from being a baby to an infant. She will now be given the status of an infant.

Your infant will now realize that there is much more than eating, pooping and sleeping. She will stay awake for longer period during the day and if you are lucky, she will also sleep for long stretches during the nights. She will have started giggling all be herself and will also bring her paws together (clap hands). Some babies may put on little weight on their legs. But it is not the case with all. So do not worry if your baby does not.

You can see your babyโ€™s budding personalities. She may be gregarious, serious or even determined. She is someone of the family now and she will feel so. Do not try to compare your baby with other babies. Make her feel special and unique.

There is a lot of intellectual growth which should be taken care of along with the routing feeding and caring. This can be done by singing and talking to herm. Try to speak in different tones and sing songs. Remember to try and include your babyโ€™s name in all the songs and stories you tell her so that she gets used to hearing her name. She should know that ehe is called by her name.

Take her on expeditions and walks. Watch her as she watches birds fly and listens to sounds of cars and dogs. She will respond to all the sound around her.

Her hands and fingers are still her toys. But she can do much more that simple taking them inside her mouth. Try rolling a ball and see her coordinate her eye and hand movements for it. Hang a mirror show her the most amazing sight, her face. Teach her to recognise her face.
